Where Faiths Meet

One of the most unique and charming things about living in South India is to bear witness to the convergence of world religions peacefully coexisting. In my little neighborhood, spanning less than a square mile, there are no less than 3 Catholic churches, two Muslim temples, and three Hindu worship sites. Months ago, when the monsoon rains were threatening to stop a few of us ventured out into greater Mumbai to explore the many religious temples in the area. We visited a Muslim mosque, a Sikh temple, a Hari Krishna temple, two Lord Shiva temples, and a Catholic Church. Here are some of the things we saw:
